"Far away" in Western Australia's award winning Bush Camp
In March of this year in Australia again awarded the Tourism Award in the category "most unique accommodation 2007. The winner: the remote Faraway Bay Bush Camp in the Western Australian region East Kimberley. As unique as the property is also the exclusive cooking class with Chef Chris Taylor, the normally highly decorated restaurant "Fraser" in Perth swing the wooden spoon.
In Faraway Bay Bush Camp, about 280 kilometers north-west of Kununurra, owners Bruce and Robyn Ellison a true fusion of authentic bush experience and a pleasant comfort have created. The eight chalets - six of them with private outdoor solar shower - are scattered across the area and offer each for itself a breathtaking 360 degree views of the bush landscape and the picturesque coast. The heart of the camp is the Eagle Lodge, which is used as needed as an open air lounge, restaurant and observation point for the fascinating wildlife.
In this setting, every year the "Kimberley Cooking School" takes place - probably the most exotic cooking course in Australia. For this event professional chef Chris Taylor exchanged his cook's uniform for four days against shorts and trekking sandals and brings the Faraway Bay guests at the professional preparation of the culinary delights of Western Australia. The relaxed ambience of local produce from land and sea are processed and consumed, the program leaves plenty of space for other activities.
Thus, the cooking school next to the "lessons" as the nearby King George River, exploring waterfalls by boat, in the freshwater pool or with the Angel's own dinner collected.
